Our University Was Honored with Several Awards in 2011 China Postgraduate Media Joint Conference

th, the 2011 China Postgraduate Media Joint Conference and
China Postgraduates Liaison Stations Conference was held in Southwest University. About 100 teacher and student representatives attended the conference, on behalf of the postgraduate campus media from 52 universities and scientific research institutes across the country. Leaders such as Wang Lisheng, Vice Director of China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Development Center and Executive Editor of
China Postgraduates, Shu Lichun, Secretary of Chong Qing Education Working Committee and Vice Director of the Provincial Education Committee, attended the conference. Representatives of the Graduate Affairs Office and Youth League Committee of our university also participated in this conference.

China Postgraduates is the only comprehensive magazine for postgraduates in the country at present. 24 liaison stations have been established nationwide since 2003, and the Guangzhou Liaison Station based on our university was founded in December 2005. Due to the excellent performance in recent years, Guangzhou Liaison Station and its staff have been awarded as the Outstanding Liaison and Outstanding Individuals respectively for many years. In 2011, Guangzhou Liaison Station was honoured as the Outstanding Liaison Station by China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Development Center, while teacher Liu Jia from Graduate Affairs Office of the Party Committee was awarded as outstanding liaison station instructor, and Xiong Zhenzhen, a 2010 postgraduate student from Department of History, vice editor-in-chief of SYSU Undergraduates, was named as outstanding liaison station coordinator, and Chen Anna, a 2010 postgraduate student from School of Sociology and Anthropology, as outstanding correspondent. Sound of Xinghai, Glamour of SYSU, selected and sent to competition by SYSU Postgraduates, won the nomination award of excellent subjects of excellent postgraduate campus media.
