On Sept 30^th, Mr. Xiong Delong, President of Indonesia Xiong Group and Indonesian Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and other two delegates visited Sun Yat-sen University. SYSU secretary Zheng Detao and deputy secretary Li Ping met with them. Principals from relevant departments attended the meeting.

Secretary Zheng Detao extended the warmest welcome to Mr. Xiong Delong and expressed gratitude to his long dedication to promoting social development, especially the development of Sun Yat-sen University.

The deputy secretary Li Ping introduced the recent developments and the future development plans of SYSU to Mr. Xiong and she expected Mr. Xiong could continue to support the university’s development.

Mr. Xiong Delong appreciated the development of SYSU and he told a touching story between SYSU alumni and him. Mr. Xiong expressed his wish to continue donation to better Xiong Delong Student Activity Center.

On the afternoon of the same day, Mr. Xiong visited Xiong Delong Student Activity Center. Principals from SYSU Youth League Committee gave an introduction of the center and the basic situation of student activities to Mr.Xiong
Xiong Delong Student Activity Center was donated by Mr. Xiong Delong, officially completed on Nov 12th, 1994, the day of SYSU anniversary of founding. The total area of the center was about 6800 square meters.
