SYSU Achieved Success Again with Funds from National Natural Science Foundation of China

The results of 2011 National Natural Science Foundation of China were published recently. So far, 485 projects of Sun Yat-sen University were funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The total funds were more than 236 million RMB. It had grown up by 100 million RMB compared with last year. The funding rate has reached 27.75%, which ranked No.4 among all the universities in China. Among the projects, five were key projects, one was special for instruments and three were basic talents fostering foundation. There were 284 surface projects, which ranked No.6 among universities and colleges. The funding rate was 25.84% and ranked No.5 in the country. There were 188 Youth Science Funds and ranked No.6 among the universities. The funding rate was 37.15%, which ranked No.3 among universities.
Besides, the results of National Funds for Distinguished Young Scholars, NSFC-Guangdong Funds Project, important research plans and Mathematics Tianyuan Funds Projects will reveal soon.
There were great changes in declared projects, funding deadlines and funding limits of national funds. SYSU funding rates and average funding capacity for different apartments are served as references.
