From September 8 to 9, our university successively held its grand 2011 opening ceremony in South Campus, North Campus, East Campus and Zhuhai Campus. In the ceremony, more than 8000 newly-enrolled undergraduates, 6100 postgraduates and doctoral students listened attentively to the teachers’ instructions, vowed to keep the school motto in mind, to undertake the mission of their age, to study diligently and to make progress, to keep surpassing themselves, and to become a student of Sun Yat-SenUniversity who are committed to revitalizing the Chinese nation. School leaders Zheng Detao, Xu Ningsheng, Liang Qingyin, Zhu Kongjun, Yan Guangmei, Xu Jiarui, Li Mengfeng, Chen Chunsheng, academician Lin Haoran of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, president assistant Bao Jigang, and principals of all the schools and departments attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Vice President Chen Chunsheng, while Vice Secretary Zhu Kongjun and Vice President Li Mengfeng led the oath respectively.
