International Symposium on “China-Australia Public Management Dialogue” Held in SYSU

On June 16thand 17th, the International Symposium on “China-Australia Public Management Dialogue” was held in our university. This symposium organized by the School of Government of SYSU was co-hosted by the School of Government and Center for Chinese Public Administration Research of SYSU, the Department of Public and Social Administration of City University of Hong Kong, and Australian National University. More than 30 scholars from Mainland China, Hong Kong China, Taiwan China, US, Australia and Singapore attended this symposium.

This symposium focused on experience exchanges and case analysis. Representatives delivered keynote speeches on social security system, public governance and service, governance structure of Chinese government, civil community responsibility, public budgeting and fiscal transparency and discussed heatedly about academic issues.

This symposium provided an opportunity of direct communication for scholars in the field of public management from Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan of China and Australia. A series of symposiums on “China-Australia Public Management Dialogue” will follow, creating a better platform for international cooperation and exchanges in the field of public management research between China and Australia.
