The President and the Delegation of University of California, Davis USA Visited SYSU and Signed an Academic Collaboration Agreement

On June 9, Linda P.B. Katehi, president of University of California, Davis (UC Davis), Harris Lewin, vice-president in charge of scientific research and a delegation, altogether six people visited Sun Yat-sen University and discussed the cooperation between the two universities. Vice President Xu Anlong received the distinguished guests in VIP room of Zhongshan Building and gave a detailed introduction of SYSU history, discipline setting and scientific research development. To President Katehi, it’s her first time to visit SYSU and she appreciated the warm reception and the fine atmosphere of humanities of SYSU. Also, she hoped to have a comprehensive cooperation with SYSU, especially in multilevel talent training and personnel exchange. Vice President Xu Anlong, on behalf of SYSU, and President Katehi, on behalf of UC Davis, signed the cooperation agreement between the two universities and expressed the will to spare no effort in promoting the cooperation in biology, psychology, engineering and so on. The cooperation agreement has provided substantial support and guidance of carrying out specific projects and opened a new channel between the two universities.
