Our University Made New Achievements in the 35th ACM/ICPC World Grand Final

On May 30, the world grand final of the 35th ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest was held in Orlando, Florida, USA. SYSU delegation members did their best in the contest, although the start didn’t go smoothly, they faced the challenge calmly, caught up from behind, and stood out among the 105 teams from the 105 universities that competed in this contest worldwide. SYSU delegation made new achievements in the contest, placed the joint 13th worldwide, and ranked 5th among the 19 Chinese mainland universities that competed in the contest.

The SYSU delegation that participated in the world grand final consisted of Zhao Haoquan, the year 2010 postgraduate student from School of Information Science, senior student Wang Siyu, and junior student Deng Ziheng. Guo Chongshan, professor of School of Information Science, was the coach, and teacher Liu Xiaomin acted as the team leader.
