From April 25 to May 4, President Xu Ningsheng led a delegation to visited six famous universities of USA, including Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, Indiana University, Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis and Carnegie Mellon University. At the invitation by Professor Samuel Chao Chung Ting, President Xu Ningsheng and the delegation participated in a series of activities related with the launch of AMS02 in Kennedy Space Center. The activities have promoted cooperation and teamwork between Sun Yat-sen University and the six American universities. Vice President Yan Guangmei, Vice President Li Mengfeng, Principal Assistant Wei Minghai and staff in the department concerned participated in different activities.


The visits have promoted the understanding between Sun Yat-sen University and some famous universities of USA, enhanced connection and cooperation, opened up more space for further cooperation and laid the foundation for new cooperation.
