School of Tourism Management of SYSU and University of the Balearic Islands of Spain held the China-Spain Tourism Cooperation International Meeting in Spain

During March 27 to March 31, 2011, in the famous European tourist resort Majorca Parma city, Spain, the 2rd China-Spain Tourism Cooperation International Meeting was held by School of Tourism Management, SYSU and University of the Balearic Islands, Spain. Professor Bao Jigang, the dean of School of Tourism Management, SYSU was present as the chairman of Chinese delegation. Nearly 100 representatives from more than ten countries, including China, Spain, Italy, France and the United States, were present at the meeting.

Overseas Tourism Studies on China: A Review in the opening ceremony and it was highly concerned by scholars and entrepreneurs. Professor Peng Qing, executive vice-dean of School of Tourism Management, SYSU and associate professors Luo Qiuju and Zeng Guojun hosted the group meetings and delivered academic speeches.
This was the first tourism event held in Europe on the basis of Industry-University-Research. The status of China has been improving in international tourism, which marked the coming of an era of tourism knowledge output.
