On March 24 and 25, Xu Ningsheng, president of Sun Yat-sen University, visited relevant ministries and leaders of the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Education and the National Natural Science Foundation.

On behalf of SYSU, President Xu Ningsheng appreciated the long-time concern and support from relevant ministries, introduced the key points and work ideas of SYSU future development and listened to their advices on the development of disciplines and talents, scientific and research base and international cooperation. Ministries and leaders of relevant departments fully affirmed the good results achieved by SYSU these years, expressed their support to SYSU and hoped SYSU could make a greater progress during the 12^th Five Year Plan.
