The 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games is about to start, which means that you will soon start your job as volunteers. Your enthusiasm and your commitment to your job show everyone the spirit of SYSU students. You are the representative of SYSU, your behaviors actually reflect the style of Guangzhou, or even China.

This is a very good chance for you to practice yourselves. Giving and serving are only one part of your job; the most important thing is that you will be improved in the process. Your job may be full of trifles and may also be complicated and tiring, but this is an important way for you to know the society. We hope that you can be well practiced in the activities and enjoy the games.

Being polite, honest, diligent, open, willing to transcend and take responsibility, be prepared for future profession are what our university expects you to be.
