SYSU Participated in Shenzhen Technology Trade and Talents Exchange Conference in Beijing

On the afternoon of March 12, Shenzhen Technology Trade and Talents Exchange Conference was held in the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, Beijing. Leaders of Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA), Intellectual Property Office (IPO) and about 400 people from more than 60 universities, research institutions, enterprises, Shenzhen municipal committee and Shenzhen municipal government were present at the conference. The conference focused on the promotion of cooperation in a new period. A series of contracts were signed during the conference. Xia Lianghui, principal assistant of SYSU, the director of Science and Technology Department and the principal of SYSU-Shenzhen research institute were present at the conference and attended the signing ceremony.

Xu Qing, mayor of Shenzhen, hosted the conference. Leaders of different departments and principals of some universities and enterprises made a speech. Wang Rong, the secretary of Shenzhen municipal committee, summarized in his speech the development and experience of Shenzhen showed only to have a close cooperation with universities and institutes, to create an innovative atmosphere, to gather more innovative resources, can the position and effects of a special economic zone stand out, can Shenzhen be more energetic, can it lead a road to scientific development. The purpose of holding Shenzhen Technology Trade and Talents Exchange Conference is to build a platform, to promote the cooperation and communication, to better Shenzhen’s development and to offer a practical stage to universities and institutes.

In the signing ceremony, Xia Lianghui, principal assistant of SYSU signed a city-university strategic cooperation agreement, a R&D (research and development) institutions settled in agreement and technology cooperation project agreement with Shenzhen city.
