Department of Anthropology of Our University Signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Museum of Anthropology of Vietnam National University, Hanoi

From May 27 to 31, at the invitation of Professor Ma Guoqing, Vice Dean of School of Sociology and Anthropology and Director of Department of Anthropology, seven guests including Dr. Lin Meirong, Director of the Archaeological Research Department of School of Sociology and Humanities of Vietnam National University(VNU), Dr. Ruan Linqiang, President of the Archaeological Institute of Vietnam, Dr. Ruan Jinshui of the Archaeological Institute of Vietnam National Academy of Social Sciences and Researcher Li Zhen from Guangxi Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology paid an academic visit to Department of Anthropology of our university and the two sides signed an academic exchange agreement.
During the visit, Dr. Lin Meirong, Dr. Ruan Linqiang and Researcher Li Zhen gave academic reports respectively on the overview of Vietnam Archaeology Research, Vietnam Palaeohuman Research Progress and the Grotto Burying of Guangxi. They also attended the academic symposium “Paleoanthropology and Archaeology Research of South China and the Surrounding Areas”. Professor Zhou Daming, Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Sociology and Anthropology, Professor Xu Yongjie and Professor Liu Zhaorui of School of Sociology and Anthropology, Professor Liu Zhiwei of Department of History and some teachers of Department of Anthropology attended the welcoming party and had an in-depth academic discussion with the guests. The scholars also visited Shaoguan Museum of Qujiang Maba Man, Guangzhou Museum of the Western Han Nanyue Kingdom Palace, the Museum of the Nanyue King Mausoleum and Guangzhou Peasant Movement Training Institute.
