On the evening of December 9, the full edition Peking Opera "The Kylin Bag" was staged in K.K. Leung Hall at the Sun Yat-sen University Science Technology Culture and Art Festival. The activity was hosted by SYSU Youth Association and the Institute of Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage. The classic play was brilliantly performed by members of Lingnan Peking Opera Club of Sun Yat-sen University. In the warm atmosphere, applauses and cheers continued throughout the show.

At half past seven in the evening, there was already no empty seat in the K.K. Leung Hall. Ever since the beginning of the show, the lively yet peaceful singing and the agile yet graceful movements gained acclamations from the audience again and again. At the end of the show, some audience were even singing together with the actor the part “It is this that is unexpected. Unforeseen as the reunion took place today…”, pushing the performance to a climax. In thunderous applause over and over again, "The Kylin Bag" ended with great success. After the performance, President Xu Ningsheng, Executive Deputy Secretary and Vice President Chen Chunsheng, and Deputy Secretary Zhu Kongjun went up to the stage and had photos taken with the performers. Many audiences said it was the first time for them to enter the theatre and to have a close contact with Peking Opera. They felt completely overwhelmed by the beauty of our national quintessence, and looked forward to more performances like this.
