A delegation from Oklahoma State University visited SYSU

On June 16, a four-member delegation led by Dr. Pam Fry, Interim Provost and Senior Vice President of Oklahoma State University (OSU), visited SYSU. Members of the delegation also included Dr. Jean Van Delinder, Associate Dean of Graduate College, OSU, and Dr. John Romans, Associate Dean of College of Education, OSU. Prof. Zhu Xiping, Vice President of SYSU, met with the guests in Zhongshan Building, accompanied by Ms. Xu Yao, Deputy Director of Office of International Cooperation & Exchange.

Vice President Zhu Xiping extended a warm welcome to the guests on behalf of the University. He introduced SYSU’s development, academic strengths and international cooperation programs. He also reviewed the exchanges between SYSU and OSU, and hoped that the two universities could deepen collaborations.
Dr. Pam Fry said that it was her first visit to China. SYSU and OSU have maintained good cooperative relations. She hoped that this visit would explore more opportunities for faculty and student exchanges.
During the visit, the delegation also held discussions with Office of International Cooperation & Exchange, Student Affairs Office, School of Education and Sun Yat-sen Business School on joint program and faculty and student exchange.
Oklahoma State University was founded in 1890. The School of Hotel and Restaurant Administration of OSU and Sun Yat-sen Business School launched a joint undergraduate program in Tourism Management in 2009. The Student Affairs Office of SYSU has also conducted faculty and student exchanges with OSU.
