On the afternoon of August 11, the unveiling ceremony of Shunde Research and Development Center of Sun Yat-sen University was held in Shunde Social Innovation Center. The ceremony was chaired by Prof. Zhu Yapeng, Director of Shunde Research and Development Center. Prof. Li Ping, Deputy Secretary of SYSU Party Committee; Mr. Liu Yuelun, Secretary of the CPC Foshan Municipal Committee; Mr. Liang Weidong, Secretary of the CPC Shunde District Committee; and Prof. Xiao Bin, Dean of School of Government of SYSU, addressed the ceremony.
  At the unveiling ceremony, the School of Government of SYSU signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Shunde District Government. The two sides will study and explore administration system and social governance model that suit the socialist market economy, and address theoretical and practical issues in Shunde’s comprehensive reform to promote Shunde’s social and economic development, and meanwhile, promote teaching and research in the School of Government of SYSU.

The establishment of the Shunde Research and Development Center marks a new stage and mode of cooperation between SYSU and Foshan, and will contribute to the University’s service for local development.
