This year SYSU developed an informationized platform (WeChat and webpage) to enable new students to learn about the teaching, campus life, transportation, dormitory arrangement, student number and student counselor through mobile phones, computers and QQ groups. The schools and departments trained volunteers to contact and help new students. The University Logistics Office released information through its WeChat accounts for the four campuses. The frequently asked questions by new students can be answered or guided through the platform.
