SYSU held a series of events to celebrate the 30th Teachers’ Day

SYSU held a series of events to celebrate the 30th Teachers’ Day. The university leadership visited teacher representatives during the festival.

On the morning of September 10, Secretary Zheng Detao paid a visit to Academician Lin Haoran, affirming his contribution to teaching, research and technology promotion, and wishing him a good health. Then, Secretary Zheng Detao went to Faculty of Foreign Languages and International Studies to learn about the discipline development and talent training. He expressed festive greetings to the teachers in The M.A.K. Halliday Library, Simultaneous Interpretation Room and Teachers’ Office. Secretary Zheng Detao also visited Professor Ni Liangkang in the Department of Philosophy and learned about the teaching, research, work environment and talent introduction.

Before the Teachers’ Day, Vice President Wei Minghai presided over a seminar in which young teachers made suggestions on how to improve their academic influence. Vice President Wei Minghai also visited the affiliated kindergarten, primary school and high school on South Campus to send festive greetings to the teachers.

In addition, The United Front Work Department, Labour Union and Pensioners Office of SYSU will jointly organize health consulting activities respectively on South Campus on September 20 and on Zhuhai Campus on September 25. Experts from SYSU affiliated hospitals will provide health consulting services to faculty and staff members.
