SYSU signs MOU on Cooperation with Guangzhou Customs

On the morning of January 5, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between Sun Yat-sen University and Guangzhou Customs was held in Guangzhou Customs. Mr. Xie Song, Party Secretary and Commissioner of Guangzhou Customs; Mr. Lai Shujia, Deputy Commissioner of Guangzhou Customs; Mr. Gu Chensheng, Associate Counsel of Guangzhou Customs; Prof. Zheng Detao, Secretary of SYSU Party Committee; Prof. Zhu Xiping, Vice President of SYSU; Prof. Xia Lianghui, Assistant President of SYSU, attended the event.
Before the ceremony, Mr. Xie Song met with Prof. Zheng Detao to discuss deepening the cooperation between the two sides.

At the ceremony, Mr. Xie Song thanked SYSU for its long term support and help. He said that many SYSU alumni are working in Guangzhou Customs, and they are playing an important role in the construction and development of Guangzhou Customs. The signing of the MOU marks the beginning of a new stage of cooperation between Guangzhou Customs and SYSU.
Prof. Zheng Detao thanked Guangzhou Customs for its long term support for SYSU. He said that the signing of the MOU indicates that Guangzhou Customs attaches great importance to talent training and higher education. SYSU will strengthen cooperation with Guangzhou Customs and achieve win-win results.
Prof. Zhu Xiping and Mr. Lai Shujia signed the MOU on Cooperation on behalf of Sun Yat-sen University and Guangzhou Customs respectively.
According to the agreement, the two sides will establish communication mechanism and conduct comprehensive cooperation in educational training, scientific research, medical service and cultural construction.
