On January 5, Li Keqiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Premier of the State Council, visited Yushu Community in Lianhe Street, Luogang District, Guangzhou, accompanied by Hu Chunhua, Secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee; Wan Gang, Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology; Miao Yu, Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Zhu Xiaodan, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and Governor of Guangdong Province; Chen Jianhua, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of Guangzhou Municipal Government; and Chen Guo, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary-General of the CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee.

Premier Li Keqiang, accompanied by Secretary Hu Chunhua and Governor Zhu Xiaodan, visited a family of migrant workers in Yushu Community. The family has received service from SYSU Social Work Yushu Community Family Service Center. The Premier asked about the family’s life in the community, and instructed the community workers to pay home visits, learn about the residents’ needs and help migrant workers to integrate into the community.

He Liping, President of SYSU Social Work Service Center, introduced the ideas and services of SYSU Social Work Yushu Community Family Service Center to the visiting leaders. The leaders encouraged them to organize more community activities for the residents. Secretary-General Chen Guo joined the children in drawing pictures at the Children’s Activity Room in SYSU Social Work Yushu Community Family Service Center.

With the philosophy of "serving with heart in the pursuit of excellence" and the strategy of "service and R&D", the Center uses professional methods of social work to improve the quality of service, and strives to become an excellent social work organization in China.

As the first community-level family comprehensive service center in Guangzhou, SYSU Social Work Yushu Community Family Service Center, supported by Lianhe Sub-District Office and undertaken by SYSU Social Work Service Center, aims to promote community integration and social harmony, and provide professional social work service to community residents.
