On the afternoon of January 30, 2015, a 3-member delegation led by Ms. Barbara Miles, Vice President for Development & Alumni Engagement of University of British Columbia (UBC), visited Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), accompanied by Mr. Shi Hao, Director-General of Henry Fok Foundation of Macau. Prof. Li Ping, Deputy Secretary of SYSU Party Committee, met with the guests. Prof. Ling Wenhua, Director of Office of International Cooperation & Exchange of SYSU; Prof. Wen Wushao, Director of Office of Key Projects of SYSU; and Ms. Li Hanrong, Director of Alumni Affairs & Education Development Office of SYSU, were also present at the meeting.

The two sides discussed student exchange programs, joint degree programs, faculty training, collaborative research and joint research institutes, and agreed to further deepen the cooperation between SYSU and UBC. Mr. Shi Hao said that Henry Fok Foundation would support the cooperation and exchange between the two universities.
Founded in 1908 as the McGill University College of British Columbia, UBC is the oldest university in the province of British Columbia, Canada. After over a hundred years, UBC has developed into one of the world’s leading universities.
