Before the 2015 Spring Festival, Prof. Guo Jun, Secretary of Party Leadership Group and Vice President of the Guangzhou Branch of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Prof. Zheng Detao, Secretary of SYSU Party Committee, Prof. Luo Jun, President of SYSU, and Prof. Zhu Xiping, Vice President of SYSU, visited academicians and teacher representatives of SYSU.

On February 5, Prof. Luo Jun paid a visit to Prof. Xia Shuzhang of School of Government. Prof. Luo asked about the life and health of Prof. Xia, and extended spring greetings and best wishes to him on behalf of the university.

On February 11-12, Prof. Guo Jun visited Academician Chen Xiaoming, Academician Su Qiang and Academician Ji Liangnian of School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering as well as Academician Zeng Yixin of Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center (SYSUCC), and extended festive greetings to the academicians on behalf of the Bureau of CAS Membership. Prof. Zhu Xiping and Prof. Li Jianchao, Secretary of Party Committee of SYSUCC, also sent best wishes to the academicians on behalf of the university.

On February 12, Prof. Zheng Detao visited Academician Lin Haoran of School of Life Sciences and Prof. Wang Yuejun of School of Earth Science and Geological Engineering. Prof. Zheng asked about their work and life, and said that the university would provide better service for the talents. He also hoped that the talents would play a leading role in the construction of research teams and make more suggestions for the development of the university.
