A delegation from Eichstätt and Ingolstadt visited SYSU

On the afternoon of March 27, 2015, an eleven-member delegation from Germany visited Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU). Members of the delegation included Dr. Christian Loesel, the Lord Mayor of Ingolstadt, Prof. Dr. Peter F. Tropschuh, Vice President of Audi AG, Prof. Dr. Max Ringlstetter, Chair for Organisation and Human Resources of Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, and Prof. Dr. Walter Schober, President of University of Applied Science Ingolstadt.

Ms. Wu Xiaoyan, Deputy Director of Office of International Cooperation & Exchange, Prof. Zhang Chaozhi, Vice Dean of School of Tourism Management, Associate Professor Lu Xiaoyan, Director of Office of International Affairs of Sun Yat-sen Business School (SYSBS), and Associate Professor Ling Xi, Head of Department of German of Faculty of Foreign Languages and International Studies, met with the German guests.

The Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (CUEI) is a cooperation partner of SYSU for many years. In September 2006, CUEI and SYSBS signed a MOU on student exchange, faculty visit, cooperative research and joint organization of academic conference. The School of Tourism Management of SYSU signed a cooperative framework agreement with CUEI in June 2011, and a cooperation agreement with Faculty of Mathematics and Geography of CU in January 2013 on student exchange, field investigation, faculty exchange and cooperative research. In addition, CUEI hopes to establish cooperation and exchange relationship with the Department of German of SYSU. The two sides exchanged intention of cooperation in the meeting.

The German delegation came to SYSU to promote the universities in Eichstätt and Ingolstadt. After the meeting, the delegation had a tour of SYSU campus. The delegates were impressed by the beautiful scenery of central lawn on South Campus.
