On April 23, 2015, a delegation led by Prof. Chuan Lee, President of Ming Chuan University, visited Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU). Prof. Chen Chunsheng, Executive Deputy Secretary and Vice President of SYSU, met with the guests in Zhongshan Building on South Campus.

Prof. Chen Chunsheng extended a warm welcome to the guests, and introduced SYSU’s development. He hoped that this visit would promote understanding and cooperation between SYSU and Ming Chuan University. Prof. Chuan Lee hoped that the two universities would enhance and expand collaborations on the basis of student exchange programs, and achieve a win-win result. The two sides also discussed dual-degree graduate program as well as cooperation in the fields of communication, design, and applied languages.
Mr. Long Bo, Deputy Director of Graduate School, Prof. Li Yanhong, Deputy Dean of School of Communication and Design, Prof. Zhuang Chusheng from Department of Chinese, and Prof. Ling Wenhua, Director of Office for Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan Affairs, were also present at the meeting.
Founded in 1957 by Dr. Teh-Ming Pao and Dr. Ying-Chao Lee, Ming Chuan University (MCU) is a private university in Taiwan. It is named after the famous Qing Dynasty Governor of Taiwan Liu Mingchuan. MCU is the first university in Asia accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) in the United States.
