On the afternoon of May 15, 2015, a 15-member government administration training delegation from Bavaria, Germany visited Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU). Professor Chen Binglong, Deputy Dean of School of Mathematics and Computational Science, Professor Guo Zhonghua, Deputy Dean of School of Government, Associate Professor Shen Jing from School of Geography and Planning and others met with the delegation.

There have been high-level visits and exchanges in various fields since the State of Bavaria established friendly relationship with Guangdong Province in 2004. The purpose of this visit was to help the government young and junior officials of Bavaria to learn about the administration and governance model in China.
The delegation hoped to communicate with SYSU faculty and students during their visit in Guangdong, especially with experts in mathematical statistics, public administration and urban planning. The School of Mathematics and Computational Science arranged a meeting for members of the delegation to interact with experts, professors and students.
