On the afternoon of June 1, 2015, a five-member delegation led by Dr. Laurent Grosclaude, Vice President of University of Toulouse, visited Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU). Prof. Wei Minghai, Vice President of SYSU, met with the guests in Zhongshan Building, accompanied by Prof. Long Bo, Deputy Director of Graduate School, and Ms. Xu Yao, Deputy Director of Office of International Cooperation & Exchange.

Prof. Wei Minghai extended a warm welcome to the guests and introduced SYSU’s history and disciplines of strength. He hoped that the two universities can expand fields of cooperation and establish university-level student exchange programs on the basis of existing collaborations.
Dr. Laurent Grosclaude said that he was glad to visit SYSU, and gave a general introduction to the University of Toulouse. The two universities have collaborated in political sciences and economics. He hoped that the two universities can sign an MOU to promote and strengthen cooperation.
The University of Toulouse (www.univ-toulouse.fr) is a prestigious comprehensive public university in France. It was founded in 1229. In 1969, the university split into three separate universities and numerous specialized institutions of higher education. In March 2007, these institutions were reunited into the consortium of University of Toulouse.
