Two SYSU professors appointed as librarians of Guangdong Research Institute of Culture and History

On Sep. 17, the Advisory Office of Guangdong Provincial People’s Government held a tea party at Guangdong Guesthouse to celebrate 2010 Mid-Autumn festival and the National Day. The party was hosted by the director of the Advisory Office, Zhou Xi, who is also the curator and secretary of the party committee of the Research Institute of Culture and History. Xiao Zhiheng, member of the standing party committee and vice-governor, delivered a speech at the party.

Jiang Haiyan, Secretary-general of the provincial government, read the document which declared the appointment of 12 newly-recruited and 4 further recruited counselors for the provincial government and 16 librarians for the Research Institute of Culture and History. Comrade Xiao Zhiheng, on behalf of the provincial government, presented letters of appointment to relevant comrades. Professor Zhang Wenqin and Chen Yongsheng from SYSU were appointed as the librarians of Guangdong Research Institute of Culture and History.
