SYSU projects received funding from NSFC in 2014

Recently, National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) announced the evaluation results of 2014 programs. So far, 461 SYSU projects have received funding from NSFC, and the total funding amounted to over 290 million yuan. The number of funded projects and the total funding are ranked 7th nationwide.

This year the overall funding from NSFC received by SYSU includes: 260 projects in General Funding with funding of 199.27 million yuan; 172 projects in Young Scientists Fund with funding of 41.01 million yuan; 12 projects in Key Program (ranked 6th among universities nationwide) with funding of 37.65 million yuan; 6 projects in Excellent Young Scientists Fund (ranked 12th among universities nationwide); 2 projects in Major International Cooperation with funding of 6 million yuan.

It is learned that the results of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars projects, NSFC-Guangdong Joint Fund projects and some Major Research Plan projects will be announced soon.
