On December 7, 2014, the 9th Council Meeting of China Society for Computational Mathematics (CSCM) was held in Chongqing University. The president and five vice presidents of the 9th Council of CSCM were elected. Professor E Weinan, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor of Mathematics at Peking University and Princeton University, was elected President of CSCM.

Professor Xu Yuesheng from School of Mathematics & Computational Science, Sun Yat-sen University was elected Vice President of CMCS. Professor Yang Hongqi from School of Mathematics & Computational Science, Sun Yat-sen University was elected as a member of CMCS.
