The signing ceremony of the agreement of cooperation between the School of Law of Sun Yat-sen University and the School of Law of Washington University in St. Louis was held in SYSU Law School on the afternoon of December 23, 2014. Dean Xu Zhongming and Vice Dean Huang Yao from SYSU Law School, and Professor Luo Wei from WU Law School attended the event. At the ceremony, Dean Xu Zhongming expressed warm welcome to Prof. Luo Wei. Both sides discussed the issues on future cooperation and exchanges between the two sides, which the two schools are looking forward to. Dean Xu Zhongming signed the agreement on behalf of SYSU Law School.
The School of Law of Sun Yat-sen University signed an agreement on cooperation with the School of Law of Washington University in St. Louis.
The Agreement is aimed at fostering the cooperation in education and academic research. The main content includes (a) joint educational, cultural, and research activities; (b) exchange of faculty members and advanced graduate students for research, lectures, and discussions, (c) participation in seminars and academic meetings; (d) exchange of academic materials, publications, and other information; and (e) cooperative LL.M 1+1 program and scholarship program. The signing of the agreement marks the beginning of cooperation between WU Law School and SYSU Law School, which is bound to promote the academic research, education and international development of SYSU Law School, and enhance the joint progress of the two schools.
