The inaugural conference of the China Social Security Association took place in Beijing on February 28, 2015. Prof. Zheng Gongcheng from Renmin University of China was elected as the first President of the Association. Prof. Shen Shuguang, Professor in Lingnan (University) College and Director of Research Center for Social Security, Sun Yat-sen University, was elected as Vice President. As one of the initiators of the Association, Prof. Shen Shuguang presented a report on the reward measures of the Association.

China Social Security Association is a voluntary national academic non-profit social organization approved by the State Council and registered in the Ministry of Civil Affairs. It serves as an academic platform and think tank in social security and related fields.
