The signing ceremony of Sino-Hungary Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on academic and scientific cooperation was held in Sun Yat-sen University

After the first meeting and communication in July 2014, the four parties of both China and Hungary (“SYSU”: School of Earth Science and Geological Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University, China; “DE”: University of Debrecen, Hungary; “Deep Eco”: Shenzhen Deep Ecology Environmental Technology Co. Ltd, China; and “Aquaprofit”: AQUAPROFIT Engineering, Consulting and Investment Company) reached an agreement, and proposed a long-term cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). On April 1, 2015, representatives of each party met each other in Sun Yat-sen University, and took part in the signing ceremony of the Sino-Hungary Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on academic and scientific cooperation.

Representatives from the other three parties are: Mr. Tamás Nádasi, Chairman of Auqaprofit Co., President of the Department of Chinese Affairs at Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Head of Water Resource and Environmental Technology College, University of Debrecen; Dr. Béla Jakab, Board Member of Aquaprofit Co., Law Consultant of the Hungarian President; Mr. Kubasi Aiming, Director of the Hungarian Technology Center; Mr. Jinyong He, Chairman of Shenzhen Deep Ecology Environmental Technology Co. Ltd, Deputy Secretary General of Shenzhen Association of Environmental Protection Industry; and Mr. Haiguang Wen, Chairman Assistant of Shenzhen Deep Ecology Environmental Technology Co. Ltd. Representatives of School of Earth Science and Geological Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University are: Prof. Ke Zhang, Dean of the School of Earth Science and Geological Engineering; Mr. Rui Tang, Party Secretary of School of Earth Science and Geological Engineering; Prof. Liansheng Tang, “100 Top Talents Program” Associate Professor Ya Wang, Dr Fengtao Liu, Dr Jing Song, Dr Fan Xiao, and Dr Wen Li.

Cooperation
 
According to the MoU, the four parties will closely cooperate with each other in the following fields: Groundwater resources investigation and modelling; Underground drinking water development and utilization techniques; Groundwater resources protection and monitoring techniques; Development and utilization techniques about geothermal resource and geothermal water; Joint-application for projects about groundwater protection and development; Internationalization of ideas and techniques about groundwater development and utilization; Marketization of scientific research achievements; Establishment of practice and internship bases for college students; Postgraduate students joint training programs; Scientific research communications; Scholar, professional exchanges; Student exchanges and “2+2” program; Summer and winter camps; Market development; and Student employment.

During the signing ceremony, Prof. Ke Zhang, Mr. Tamás Nádasi, Mr. Jinyong He and Dr. Béla Jakab delivered speeches for each party. A meeting was held after the ceremony, and the development of hot groundwater in Longmen as well as possible cooperation were discussed.
