On the afternoon of September 8, the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and the Guangdong Provincial Government held a conference in Guangzhou to celebrate the 2015 Teachers’ Day and commend excellent teachers. Provincial leaders including Mr. Hu Chunhua, Secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, and Mr. Zhu Xiaodan, Governor of Guangdong Province, presented the awards to representatives of the excellent teachers. Prof. Wei Minghai, Vice President of SYSU, as well as some teacher representatives from SYSU attended the conference.
This year 1,081 “Nanyue Excellent Teachers” and 110 “Nanyue Excellent Education Workers” are selected in Guangdong province. 10 SYSU teachers receive the honor of “Nanyue Excellent Teachers”, and 2 SYSU teachers win the title of “Nanyue Excellent Education Workers” (The list is attached below).

Since 2004, a total of 56 teachers at SYSU have won the title of “Nanyue Excellent Teachers”, and 4 teachers at SYSU have received the title of “Nanyue Excellent Education Workers”.
