School of Mathematics & Computational Science Held the 4th Growth Forum
On evening of May 26th, the School of Mathematics & Computational Science held the 4th Growth Forum themed on “Brave Heart” in East Campus of SYSU. Director of the Psychological Service Center of SYSU Li Hua, Full-time Counselor Chen Jie, Part-time lecturer Song Qi attended as guests to give speeches. They advised students on issues relating to study, social affair, relationship, career and so on, and motivated students with live examples, that —college life is the prime time of our life, that we should be strong, willing to take risks , and that we should make efforts to improve ourselves, and learn to love, in order to lay a solid foundation for our future. Secretary of the School’s Committee of the CPC Li Bojun also participated in the event.
As reported, Growth Forum is one of the brand activities of the Youth Association of the School of Mathematics & Computational Science, it aims to solve all sorts of problems pertaining to study,social life, relationship, career and so on, help them develop themselves profoundly and consistently.
On 2 June, analysis of the sample of the patient involved in suspected A(H1N1) influenza yielded positive results for the flu virus, conducted by Center for Disease Control and Prevention of Guangdong Province. The patient is currently receiving medical treatment in the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of SYSU. The flu case was diagnosed as imported A(H1N1) influenza by the medical experts of Guangdong, and confirmed by the Ministry of Health. This is the first imported A(H1N1) influenza case in Zhuhai.
The patient is a Chinese American, who was sent to the Fifth Affiliated Hospital by ambulance. Recently, the patient has been quarantined for medical treatment, and is in good physical and mental condition.
