Six Experts Added to Discipline Evaluation Panel of National Social Science Foundation

National Planning Office of Social Science has recently issued a short list of members supplemented to the discipline evaluation panel of National Social Science Foundation. Recommended by the country’s specialists and sanctioned by the leading panel of National Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science, six specialists from SYSU had been appointed experts of the discipline evaluation team: Li Ping (Philosophy), Li Zhongfei (Applied Economics), Ma Jun (Political Science), Wu Chengxue (Chinese Literature), Zhou Daming (Ethnic Studies), Cao Shujin (Library • Information and Bibliography). Up until now, there have been a total number of 14 specialists from SYSU serving on the panel.

The major duties of the discipline evaluation panel are as follows: assist in the formulation of the development planning of the related disciplines and the guides for state- financed Philosophy and Social Science research topics, evaluate programs and putting forward the subsidy proposal, and engage in the evaluation and acceptance of the research results of the state-sponsored topics in the related disciplines.
