Professor Wen Guangyi Awarded “Advanced Individual of Guangdong Federation of Returning Overseas Chinese” Title

On Dec.1st, the ninth delegation congress for returning overseas Chinese of Guangdong province was held in Guangzhou. Wang Yang, member of the political bureau of the central committee and secretary of Guangdong provincial party committee, Ou Guangyuan, director of the standing committee of the people’s congress of Guangdong province, Lu Zhonghe, deputy director of overseas Chinese affairs committee of the standing committee of the national people’s congress, and others were present at the congress.

The congress commended on the outstanding contributions the advance groups and individuals had made in uniting the returning overseas Chinese, making extensive contacts with Guangdong nationality of overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macao compatriots, devoting to economic and social construction of Guangdong province, and promoting the peaceful reunification of the motherland and so on. SYSU Prof Wen Guangyi received the honor of “Advance Individual of Guangdong Federation of Returning Overseas Chinese”.
