Professor Wu Zhongkai Awarded "Ten Outstanding Youths of Guangzhou"

As of April 15, we got the results of the 11th "Ten Outstanding Youths of Guangzhou" and our professor Wu zhongkai who comes from The First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yet-Sen University won the honor.

The Communist Youth League Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee collaborated with Guangzhou Youth Federation in launching this activity. What’s more, Chen mingde, president of jury and vice mayor of Guangzhou, attended the activity as a moderator.

Professor Wu stood out among 20 candidates via the judgment of the jury consisted of 29 voters and notaries from Guangzhou Notary Office. He becomes one of the new ten outstanding youths with 25 votes ranked second.

Professor Wu is a skillful heart surgeon, who has once accomplished the first operation called “Four operations done with a heart at the same time” successfully and then helped the patient survive from the edge of death. He has highest satisfaction rate from patients’ re-investigation. Furthermore, he has some international influence on heart research, especially on myocardial protection in heart surgery, off-pump coronary artery bypass (OPCAB) and Heart -Lung transplantation.
