12 Projects of Advanced Marine Technology on Exhibition A 25 million Contract Promoted Achievement Transformation

From Apr.29th to 30th, the promotion-docking meeting for product from transformation of marine technology belonging to the national 863 program was held in Qingdao. Yan Jin, Deputy Director of Social Development Ministry of Science, Guo Risheng, Director of China's Agenda 21 Administration Center, and others were present at the meeting. Xu Anlong, Vice-president of SYSU led several representatives from the science and engineering school and the department of science and technology.

In order to take part in the meeting, our school had undergone meticulous preparation and organization in advance. At the nomination of the department of science and technology, 12 projects of marine high-tech from our school had been exhibited in the meeting, demonstrating research features and standards of our school in the field of marine biotechnology. And they also demonstrated the fruitful achievements of our school in the national 863 program field of marine technology since "Eleventh Five-Year". The projects had drawn some media attention, and many research institutes and enterprises had gone to observe and consult the relevant technical issues. During the meeting, 3 projects from our school had made contract-docking with enterprises, on the account of 25million yuan, which helps build a good communication platform for schools and enterprises.

It was said that the meeting was the first meeting of national 863 Program for promotion-docking meeting for product from transformation of marine technology, of which aim was to build a communicative platform for achievements of marine technology, to strengthen technological achievements into product introductions projects, to promote high-tech research and development of Marine close to shallow water by the sea to the far-reaching strategic shift and to accelerate the marine strategic new industries and economic development of the blue. This meeting received great support from the relevant national marine departments, all provinces (cities, districts) and domestic universities, research institutes and enterprises responded positively, which had demonstrated more than 310 technological achievements. Meanwhile up to 258 participants units and more than 2000 had been present at the meeting.
