Tourism Education Summit Started

Guangzhou, June 15, 2010, Guangzhou Daily: The 2010 Tourism Education Summit started recently on the Zhuhai Campus. The theme of the summit is “disciplinary construction and cultivation of high-level talents”. Experts and scholars from more than 30 universities including SYSU, Peking University, Fudan University, and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University etc attended the summit .

The summit is hosted by the School of Tourism Management of SYSU. According to the person in charge, China's tourism industry will adjust, reconstruct and innovate in the new era as tourism has become the pillar industry in national economy. Thus disciplines related to tourism should reform and innovate upon theoretical study, cultivation of talents and social services, which is also the agenda of the summit.
