"Industrial and Regional Development Forum” & Project Evaluation Meeting for the “Study on the Coordinated Development of Industry Agglomeration and Regional Economy” Took Place

On the morning of June 18, the “Industrial and regional development forum” & the Project Evaluation Meeting for the “Study on the coordinated development of industry agglomeration and regional economy” hosted by SYSU research institute of Guangdong development and higher research institute of Social Sciences, was taken place on the south campus. The “Study on the coordinated development of industry agglomeration and regional economy”, which is hosted by Professor Wang Jun from Lingnan College, is a key project among other significant tasks of the Ministry of Education.

Liang Qingyin, deputy secretary of the standing committee, expressed his thanks to the experts present at the meeting. He said, this task fully reflects the features of cross-disciplinary research. The research standpoint involves economics, management, sociology and other related disciplines. The meeting displayed the preliminary results and also held a consultation. After that, Professor Wang Jun introduced the research background, analyzing framework, and basic structure of the research. Li Shenglan and Sun Luoping, the persons in charge of the project, gave reports respectively. Later, the experts present gave some comments on the research results. They fully affirmed the theoretical and practical values of the project and at the same time made many precious suggestions on further improvement.
