Advanced Training Class for Indonesian Chinese-language Teachers Held at SYSU

On June 27th, the opening ceremony for the advanced training class for Indonesian Chinese-language teachers, which was sponsored by Hanban and hosted by School of Chinese as a Second Language(SCSL), was held on the South Campus. Ms. Maria Widiani, vice director of Department of Teaching Profession, Ministry of National Education of Indonesia, Chen Chunsheng, Vice President of SYSU, SCSL staffs in charge of this project, teacher representatives responsible for teaching training and 17 non-ethnic Chinese Indonesian Chinese-language teachers attended the opening ceremony.

Courses including Second Language Teaching Methodology, Modern Chinese, Acquisition and Error Analysis, Watching Teaching Video, Lectures of Chinese Culture and Chinese talent courses like Tai Chi and Chinese Calligraphy were offered by SCSL. During the period of advanced training, SCSL will arrange teacher students to walk around Guangzhou and experience Guangzhou culture on weekends, so that they can have a profound understanding of Chinese language and culture, and experience charms of China.
