Distinguished Professor of University of Miami Lu Yadong Joins SYSU

On the afternoon of September 20th, the Schoolof Business held an appointment ceremony for Professor Lu Yadong. SYSU President Huang Daren, Li Jianchao, Director of Organization Department of the SYSU Committee of the CPC, Luo Teng, Director of Human Resources Department attended the ceremony, together with all the staff in the school to welcome Professor Lu.

At the ceremony, Huang gave a brief introduction to the SYSU’s achievement on teaching, research and discipline construction during the recent years. Lu showed his confidence in the school’s development. On behalf of the school, Li Xinchun, Dean of School of Business, expressed his warm welcome towards Lu’s coming.

Lu is a lifetime professor at management in Universityof Miami, a distinguished visiting professor in Emery M. Findley, Fellow of Academy of International Business. From the time he accepts the appointment, he will work half a year in the Schoolof Business every year. He will do the administrative work from September 2010 to February 2011, and will officially take over the Dean’s work of School of Business on March 2011. As a famous scholar in the field of international enterprise management, Lu has rich experience in teaching, research and administrative management. He will surely play a positive impact on the school’s development and enhancing its influence at home and abroad.
