Results of “Yi Zhong Tian---the Third Interpretation Contest” Came Out
On the evening of December 22, the final of the Third Interpretation Contest (Yi Zhong Tian Cultural Festival) was held in Zhuhai Campus by the Communist Youth League Committee of School of International Studies SYSU. After the preliminary contest, altogether ten contestants reach the final.
This competition is made up of three parts: English to Chinese, Chinese to English and simultaneous interpretation within the dialogue. During the competition, in spite of the tense atmosphere, the fast reading in the recordings and a huge amount of information, the contestants with excellent basic skills, could take notes easily and react very quickly, which gave the audience an experience of the charm of bilingual communication.
After two and a half hours of competing, Yang Xiaoye won the first prize; Bai Manli and Zhang Sujun got the second prize and the third prize winners are Zhong Siran, Hong Juan and Liu Haiyan.
