Yesterday afternoon, Master Hsing Yun, founder of the Fo Guang Shan in Taiwan, delivered a speech in the chapel of SYSU, whose theme is “What is the value of life wealth”.

Master’s understanding towards wealth provides people different views and makes people feel inspired. In his opinion, enjoying wealth is better than possessing wealth, “there’s someone constructing buildings and opening department stores, I can buy things from them; there’s someone building parks, I can go for a walk in it; You buy a TV, sitting there and watching TV programs, I can watch as well on the side; some people plant flowers, we can also enjoy it.” Master Hsing Yun said that enjoying wealth does not necessarily involve possessing wealth.
