[Southern Metropolis Daily] Nuclear leakage in Fukushima (in Japan) has again roused people’s introspection on science: Is the scientific progress bringing benefits or disasters to us humans? The day before yesterday, “Xiao Guwei Science Forum• Second of Science into Campus Series and the 8th Forum of Nobel Laureates in Sun Yat-sen University Forum Series” was held in Sun Yat-sen University. The Lecturer is Richard Robert Ernst who is from the Federal Polytechnic Institute in Zurich (Switzerland) and won his Nobel Prize in chemistry in 1991. On the forum, Richard Robert said that the effects of science and technology depend on the human morality and responsibility, and the academic duty is to cultivate responsible leaders of the future.

Warning: It is the human greed that leads to disorder!

Expectation: The younger generation will make fewer mistakes!

Send words: Science should be used to unearth the beauty of humanity!
