Elinor Ostrom, Winner of the Nobel Economics Prize, Delivered a Lecture of Sustainable Development of Society in SYSU

On the morning of May 6, hosted by State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and Sun Yat-sen University, the 9th lecture of the Nobel Prize Winner Series Lectures was held in Huaishi Hall. Elinor Ostrom, the renowned political economist, winner of the 2009 Nobel Economics Prize and professor of the Indiana University, delivered a lecture whose name was A Social-Ecological Approach to Sustainability. Wen Zewei, Deputy Director of Guangdong Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, Li Ping, Deputy Secretary of SYSU, and Yan Guangmei, Vice President of SYSU met the guest before the lecture. The Vice President Yan Guangmei hosted the lecture and delivered a welcome speech. Altogether 300 people from School of Government, School of Business and School of Sociology and Anthropology attended the lecture.
