Center for Anti-Corruption Studies of SYSU Held the Symposium on Reform of Government Public Vehicle-using System

On May 31, Center for Anti-Corruption Studies of SYSU held a symposium, which focused on the hot topic of social concern—reform of government public vehicle-using system (GPVS).

Zheng Detao, Director of the Center for Anti-Corruption Studies of SYSU and Secretary of the school party committee, delivered a welcome address. Through professional perspectives of Political Science, Law, Economics, Communication, Sociology, Ecology, etc., more than 20 well-known scholars, such as Guo Yong, Deputy Director of Center for Anti-Corruption Studies of Tsinghua University, Lu Hanqiao, Director of Anti-Corruption Research Center of Guangzhou University, Peng Peng, Researcher of Guangzhou Academy of Social Sciences, as well as Guo Weiqing and Ren Qiang, Professors of Center for Anti-Corruption Studies of SYSU, thoroughly probed into the models, practices and experiences of the reform of GPVS both at home and abroad. In the symposium, they also put forward feasible suggestions for enhancing the reform of GPVS of Guangdong Province.

The scholars present all believed that the researches on the reform must attach great importance to integrate the theory and the practice, further enhance the empirical study, and push the reform of GPVS forward, so as to provide intellectual support for building a clean and economizing government. Leaders of the Department of Supervision and Department of Vehicle Modification of Guangdong Province attended the symposium.
