The European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) accredited School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University with European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) after deliberation and vote at 17:00 June 14, Belgium Brussels Time. Henceforth, School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University becomes one of the mainstream business schools all over the world.
EQUIS is an international accreditation system founded by the European Foundation for Management Development, whose major duty is to grant certifications, assess higher administration learning institutions in their qualities and bolster the development of education. The management of EQUIS merely adopts elite members and emphasizes more on the social status, teaching quality and international influence of member business schools rather than the scales of members. Only more than 100 top-level business schools obtain the memberships of EQUIS.
