SYSU Young Humanities Teachers Symposium Convened

From July 4th to 6th, SYSU Young Humanities TeachersSymposium was convened. Standing Deputy Secretary Liang Qingyin, Vice President Chen Chunsheng, 6 specially invited celebrated scholars, over 30 young teachers from different Humanities Schools (Departments), and directors of Office of Development and Planning and Office of Social Sciences and Humanities attended the symposium.
At the symposium, each young teacher gave wonderful introduction to the frontier research fields and major issues in their fields of learning. , analyzed the developing trend of Humanities and Social Sciencs and made valuable suggestions for the development of our university’s Humanities. The 6 specially invited scholars expressed their expectation on young teachers in different aspects, shared their experience in doing scientific research and gave precious advice on the development of our university’s Humanities. Directors of Office of Development and Planning and Office of Social Sciences and Humanities introduced relevant work.
Standing Deputy Secretary Liang Qingyin summarized the symposium, and gave pertinent advice on the development of young teachers’ scientific researches.
The symposium has provided great opportunities for the exchanges of ideasamong young teachers, and between young teachers and celebrated scholarsand the departments concerned, which has achieved favorable effects.
