The Appraisal of 2011 National Key Labs in Bioscience and Medical Science Field Was Published -The Appraisal Result of SYSU labs Was Good

Recently, Ministry of Science and Technology published the result of 2011 National Bioscience and Medical Science Key Labs appraisal. This year, the result of three national key labs of Sun Yat-sen University (National Key Laboratory of Biocontrol and Resources Utilization, South China Oncology National Key Laboratory and National Key Laboratory of Ophthalmology) was good.

This year, Ministry of Science and Technology authorized Natural Science Foundation to appraise national key laboratories in bioscience and medical science field.

Ministry of Science and Technology is going to offer a special fund for national key labs that were classed as excellent or good ones. Correspondingly, special funds for four key labs, which are needed to be improved, will be reduced during the rectification. Ministry of Science and Technology will appraise the rectification progress in two years. The country will disqualify some national key labs that failed in the appraisal.
